January's Dancer of the Month - Ishikha Sharma

To start off 2021 with some positivity we wanted to recognise a dancer every month and reward them for their hard work with a free private lesson with Lowri.

We are delighted to announce our first winner and January's Dancer of the Month, Ishikha Sharma. Ishikha joined Dancexite just under a year ago. We spotted her straight away at our afterschool club and invited her to join our competition team. Since the very first class she has worked extremely hard in class and on Zoom. She is passionate, determined, has a no-fear approach to everything in dance and not to mention a huge talent and an enormous amount of potential to go really far if she continues to work hard. We asked Ishikha a couple of questions and here is what she had to say:

When did you start dancing with Dancexite?

I started dancing with Dancexite around 1 year goat an after school club, and I started dancing with the crew just before the first lockdown.

Why do you dance?

I dance because I LOVE IT. It’s a part of me. I like to make people smile and when I dance people smile.

What are your goals in dance?

My goals in dance are to win some competitions and then for a part time job be a dance teacher and then go on to be a professional dancer.

What is your favourite style of dance?

My favourite style of dance is popping because I like the really excellent waves.

What has been your funniest moment in Dancexite?

My funniest moment in Dancexite was when I said the Bis Makie instead of the Biz Markie.

Congratulations Ishika, very well deserved winner of January's dancer of the month!
